Stopped by the Fly-in on Saturday and was very disappointed. Not many planes, probably due to the windy conditions, but NO vendors or any food besides the bbq chicken. Loud annoying music being played by the snowmobile or atv club, too. Sunday more planes arrived, which is great, but you need to do more to attract the public. I had the pleasure of sitting alongside Gaddabout Gaddis on a flight to Florida in the 70's, and I'm sure he would be disappointed and what has happened to this event....send some of your event organizers to the Greenville Fly in for some ideas, the Greenville fly in started very small and has become a huge event for the Moosehead area. |
